Forest Power Blend

A blend of medicinal mushrooms like cordyceps, chaga, reishi, lion's mane, turkey tail, and agaricus can provide a range of health benefits, each contributing its unique properties:

1. Cordyceps:

- Energy : Studied for its support of endurance and oxygen use during exertion.
- Immune Support: Contains polysaccharides and cordycepin, which can help modulate and strengthen the immune system.
- Anti-Aging: Rich in antioxidants, it may help reduce oxidative stress and slow down aging processes.

2. Chaga:

- Antioxidant Power: Exceptionally high in antioxidants, particularly melanin, which helps combat oxidative stress.
- Immune Modulation: Supports the immune system with beta-glucans and other polysaccharides.
- Anti-Inflammatory: Has anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce inflammation in the body.

3. Reishi:

- Immune Enhancement: Known as the 'Mushroom of Immortality,' it helps modulate the immune system, making it effective for immune support.
- Stress Relief: Acts as an adaptogen, helping the body adapt to stress and promoting relaxation and better sleep.
- Liver Health: Supports liver detoxification and overall liver health.

4. Lion's Mane:

- Cognitive Function: Promotes nerve growth factor (NGF) production, which supports brain health and cognitive function — an area of active neuroscience research.
- Mental Clarity: Enhances focus, concentration, and memory.
- Neuroprotection: Provides neuroprotective benefits, an active area of research relevant to long-term neurological health.

5. Turkey Tail:

- Immune Support: Rich in polysaccharides like PSK and PSP, which support immune function and have been the subject of published research, including studies conducted alongside conventional treatment in Japan.
- Gut Health: Contains prebiotics that support gut health by promoting beneficial bacteria.
- Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory: Provides significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

6. Agaricus:

- Beta-Glucans: A source of beta-glucans, the polysaccharides most studied across functional mushrooms.
- Liver Health: Supports liver function and detoxification.

### Combined Benefits

When these mushrooms are combined into a blend, they offer synergistic benefits that can enhance overall health and well-being. The blend can provide comprehensive support for the immune system, boost energy and cognitive function, reduce inflammation, and promote longevity. Additionally, the antioxidants present in these mushrooms help combat oxidative stress, which is linked to many chronic diseases. Regular consumption of such a blend can contribute to improved vitality, better mental clarity, and enhanced resilience to stress.

How to Take Forest Power Blend

Take 2–3 capsules daily with water, preferably in the morning with or after breakfast. The synergistic formula combines multiple mushroom species to provide broad-spectrum support across immunity, energy, and cognitive function — effects that a single-species supplement cannot replicate. Consistent daily use for 4–6 weeks is when the cumulative adaptogenic effects become most noticeable. For intensive use (athletes, high-stress periods, seasonal immune support), increase to 4 capsules daily for 2–4 weeks. The blend is formulated from 10:1 fruiting-body extracts, not mycelium on grain, ensuring high beta-glucan and bioactive compound density. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Vegan-friendly with no artificial fillers. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

How to Take Forest Power Blend

Take 1–2 capsules daily with food, and do not exceed 4 capsules per day. Taking them with a meal reduces the chance of digestive upset, which is the most common issue with mushroom capsules on an empty stomach.
Introduce the blend on its own for several days before adding other supplements. This is the practical drawback of a multi-mushroom capsule: if something disagrees with you, a formula with this many ingredients makes it much harder to identify which was responsible.
As with functional mushrooms generally, benefit is associated with sustained daily use over weeks rather than any single dose. Because this blend contains Cordyceps, which is mildly energising for most people, morning use suits it better than late evening.

Why These Species Are Combined

The mushrooms in this blend were chosen because their areas of traditional and researched use overlap very little, which is the whole argument for a broad-spectrum formula.
Cordyceps is the energy and endurance species, studied for cordycepin and oxygen utilisation. Chaga is the antioxidant specialist, exceptionally high in melanin and polyphenols, drawing betulin from the birch it grows on. Reishi is the classic adaptogen for stress and rest. Lion's mane is the cognitive and nervous-system mushroom, associated with hericenones and erinacines. Turkey tail carries PSK and PSP and has the deepest immune research base of any of them. Agaricus contributes further beta-glucans.

Blend or Single Species?

A blend divides its fill weight between its ingredients, so each species is present in a smaller amount than in a dedicated single-species product. That is a fair trade when you want broad coverage in one capsule rather than a shelf of separate jars — and a poor one if you are targeting a specific outcome and want a meaningful amount of one species.
If you know which mushroom you want, buying it alone gives you both a higher amount and full control over combinations. Our stacking guide covers building a combination deliberately.

Fruiting Body, Not Mycelium on Grain

The mushroom extracts are made from fruiting body rather than mycelium grown on grain. Mycelium grown on a starch substrate cannot be separated from that substrate and is milled into the finished powder, leaving a product largely composed of grain with a fraction of the active compounds. It matters most for reishi (triterpenes) and lion's mane (hericenones), both of which form specifically in the fruiting body.

Storage

Store in the sealed container in a cool, dry, dark place. Extract powder is far more moisture-sensitive than whole dried mushrooms because of the greater surface area, so avoid humid storage such as a bathroom cabinet. Properly stored, capsules keep for two years.

Safety and Contraindications

Because this blend combines several species, it also combines their contraindications — read the full ingredient list and check it against your own situation rather than assuming a blend is gentler than its parts.
Several of these mushrooms are immune-modulating, so anyone with an autoimmune condition should speak with their doctor before use, and they may interact with immunosuppressant medication. Reishi and turkey tail may increase bleeding risk and interact with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs; cordyceps may lower blood sugar and interact with diabetes medication. Chaga is high in oxalates and is not recommended for anyone with a history of kidney stones or kidney disease. Discontinue at least two weeks before scheduled surgery.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Anyone with a mushroom allergy should avoid this product. This is a food supplement, not a medicine, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take this alongside other single-mushroom supplements? Yes, but be mindful of total daily dose if you're also taking, for example, a separate Cordyceps or Reishi product — the blend already contains a working amount of each, so stacking can push you past the intended dose.

Why combine six different mushrooms in one product? Each mushroom in the blend — Cordyceps, Chaga, Reishi, Lion's Mane, Turkey Tail, and Agaricus — is associated with a different area (energy, immune support, cognition, antioxidants), so the blend is designed to cover several bases in one daily capsule rather than requiring six separate products.

Is it safe for daily long-term use? Yes, for most healthy adults. As with any multi-ingredient supplement, start with the labelled dose, and check with your doctor first if you take medication or have a medical condition, since some individual mushrooms in the blend are immune-modulating.
