Immunity

Immunity

Chaga, turkey tail, reishi and shiitake — the classic immune-supporting mushrooms in every format.

Immunity

Our immunity collection brings together the beta-glucan-rich mushrooms most associated with immune support — chaga, turkey tail, reishi, shiitake and bee-made propolis. These are the mushrooms with the deepest research base for the immune system, available here as capsules, tinctures and dried forms.

The polysaccharides in these mushrooms are the reason they are grouped together. Turkey tail's PSK and PSP, chaga's immune-modulating compounds, shiitake's lentinan and cordyceps' immune role are among the most studied in the field. We also link the maitake articles here — maitake and the immune system and its D-fraction — since maitake is a classic immune mushroom even though we do not currently stock it.

These products are food supplements, not medicines, and are not intended to prevent or treat any illness — a healthy immune system also relies on sleep, nutrition and exercise. Many customers rotate several of these through the year. For each mushroom in every format, see the dedicated chaga, turkey tail and reishi collections.

Frequently asked questions

Chaga, turkey tail, reishi and shiitake are the most researched immune-supporting mushrooms, largely because of their beta-glucan and polysaccharide content. Propolis, made by bees, is also traditionally used for immune support. Many people rotate several through the year.
No. These are food supplements, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. They are traditionally associated with immune support, but a healthy immune system also depends on sleep, nutrition, exercise and stress management.
All work; the choice is about convenience. Capsules are easiest for daily consistency, dual-extract tinctures are concentrated and fast to dose, and dried forms suit traditional teas and decoctions. What matters most is taking them consistently.
Yes — combining, for example, chaga, turkey tail and reishi is common and generally well tolerated. Introduce one at a time so you can judge tolerance, and check with your doctor if you take immunosuppressants or other medication.
Maitake is a classic immune mushroom, so we link its articles from this collection for completeness even though we do not currently stock a maitake product. The mushrooms we do carry cover the same immune-support ground.
